The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind—in the best way. I had the opportunity to work with two incredible seniors, Lee and Johntasia, for their senior photo sessions. These shoots were a blast, full of personality, passion, and big dreams. Lee, the West Cabarrus Marching Band Drum Major, brought his love for music and stage to life, while Johntasia, a future dentist and HOSA chapter president, radiated confidence and ambition. I’m so thankful they trusted me to capture such a meaningful milestone in their lives.

Tomorrow, I get to turn my lens toward something just as powerful—purpose. I’ll be photographing the Mental Health Matters NC charity 5K, and it’s an event that truly hits home. Mental health is something I’ve personally struggled with, and I’ve seen so many others, especially young people, face battles of their own. Social media, the pressures of comparison, and just navigating a changing world—it’s a lot for anyone, especially kids.

Getting to support this organization through photography is a small way to give back and raise awareness. Every image taken tomorrow will be more than just a picture—it’s a reminder that you’re not alone and that your story matters.

Thanks again to everyone who continues to support Ryan Sellars Photography. Whether it’s capturing a senior year moment or showing up for a meaningful cause, I’m grateful to do what I love for a community I care so deeply about.
